Single Estate · Ixtlahuacán del Río, Jalisco

Grown on one family’s land.

Pedro Furtivo Tequila believes in the sacred relationship between the Agavero (grower) and the Tequilero (producer). Born in the town of Ixtlahuacán del Río, we are growers with a deep reverence for the heritage of the spirit, on a mission to create an authentic tequila to savor and share.

I. La Tierra

Where Pedro was born

Ixtlahuacán del Río, Jalisco, is the hometown of Omar Martinez’s father. The Martinez family land there is where every agave in Pedro Furtivo is grown.

II. La Familia

Two grandfathers, one field

Both of Omar’s grandfathers farmed this land. When his father emigrated, it was left behind.

III. El Regreso

The third generation comes home

Omar grew up in Atlanta. A few years before Pedro Furtivo launched, he went back to Ixtlahuacán del Río and began farming agave on the family land again: the third generation of Martinez agaveros.

IV. The founders

Tequilero, CEO and agavero

Peter Kiley leads the production side as the tequilero. Rachel Kiley, co-founder and CEO, runs Sneaky Pete Spirits, the company that brings Pedro Furtivo to market. And Omar grows the agave. It takes all three.

Single Estate

What single estate means

Many tequilas are made from agave bought from different growers. Pedro Furtivo is made only from agave grown on one estate: the Martinez family’s, farmed by Omar Martinez.

  • One estate

Agave azul from the Martinez family estate in Ixtlahuacán del Río, and nowhere else.

  • Fully mature

Piñas harvested at six to seven years old, fully matured.

  • Nothing added

100% agave azul, certified additive-free by the Tequila Regulatory Council (CRT).

  • NOM 1360

Every bottle carries its distillery’s number, NOM 1360, so you can trace where it was made.
